New Permit Schedule Adopted
The Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers approved a new permit deadline and schedule for processing permits. The new deadline for permit applications is 22 days prior to the permit Board meeting date (4th Wednesday of each month, November and December exceptions due to holidays). For applications involving impacts to wetlands, the application deadline is 40 days prior to the permit Board meeting date. This new deadline and schedule will be effective for the September 2007 permit applications, so permits wishing to be on the Board agenda for the September 26 meeting must be submitted by September 4 (August 22 if wetland impacts proposed). The following is a generalized schedule for permits:
- Action: Wetland-related permit submittal items due (replacement plan applications, delineations, etc.) if applicable to the project.
22 Days before Board Meeting
- Action: Permit application form, fees, and required submittal items due to the District office by 4:30 p.m.
13 Days before Board Meeting
- Action: Draft Engineer’s Report with findings and Staff recommendations (approval, conditional approval, incomplete, denial) e-mailed or faxed to applicants and consultants.
9 Days before Board Meeting
- Action: For applications with incomplete or denial recommendations, additional/revised submittals are accepted by District Engineer (Emmons & Olivier Resources) at their office until 5:00 p.m.
5 Days before Board Meeting
- Action: Final Engineer’s report with Staff recommendations to the Board of Managers faxed to applicants and consultants.
0 Days before Board Meeting
- Action: Board of Managers meeting for consideration of all permit applications recommended for conditional approval or approval by Staff.
