The Rice Creek Watershed District will be holding public meetings to discuss the Southwest Urban Lake Study. This study was initiated to address water quality issues on lakes in the southwest portion of the District. Twenty-four lakes are included in the study. The public meetings will be broken in four parts, each of which will address water quality issues on six lakes. The dates, locations, and lakes included in each of these meetings are as follows.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE That the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers has scheduled a workshop meeting on May 12, 2008, noon-2 p.m. in the Conference Room of Rice Creek Watershed District offices, 4325 Pheasant Ridge Drive NE #611, Blaine, Minnesota. The Board will discuss the draft Houston Engineering professional service agreement & transition plan, RCWD personnel policies, salary administration, and administrator powers and duties, attorney interview & selection discussion, RCWD advisory committee recommendations on cost-share rates, criteria, and collaboration.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers has scheduled a workshop on April 23, 2008, following the regular 9 a.m. board meeting until 11 a.m. The workshop will be held in the Upper Conference Room (behind the Chambers) at Shoreview City Hall, 4600 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, Minnesota. The topic will be an update on the proposed JD4/ACD15 Resource Management Plan (RMP) rule RMP-2 in relationship to work that staff and Emmons and Olivier Resources have been doing in evaluating the impact/flexibility on a few selected sites in the RMP area.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at its regular board meeting on April 23, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Shoreview City Council Chambers, 4600 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, Minnesota, the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) Board of Managers will receive public comment under Minnesota Statutes 103B.251 on the ordering of the Cities of Centerville’s Downtown Redevelopment Project, Columbia Heights Silver Lake Beach Site Project, Mahtomedi’s Street and Utility Construction Project, and Shoreview’s Turtle Lake Pre-treatment Project.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers has scheduled a special meeting on April 23, 2008, 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Upper Conference Room (behind the Chambers) at Shoreview City Hall, 4600 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, Minnesota. The Board will be interviewing three Attorney firms.
