District Website Update

Website
The Rice Creek Watershed District website was updated on January 30, 2006. This update included the migration of our website to a new platform. It also now sports a slightly different layout. Some things to notice as you browse the website are:
  • The main navigation has shifted from the left side of the page to the top
  • On many pages you will find navigation blocks on the left
  • The search box on the front page is much more functional
  • Printing has been vastly improved over the old website
Most links should still work however there are some that unfortunately will be broken; specifically links to stories will no longer work. If you are looking for a specific entry, search for it or browse for it in the archives. The Permits, Rules and FAQ pages remain at the Rice Creek Watershed District Library. All links to that site will continue to work.

Ricecreek.org Library

RCWD Library WebpageThe latest addition to the Rice Creek Watershed District website is our online library which can be now be found at http://library.ricecreek.org. As with any library our intention is to put in one place, many of the reference materials that users find valuable. This includes the rules of the Rice Creek Watershed District, extensive help with our permitting program and frequently asked questions. While news, program and project information will continue to be found here, on our main website, the RCWD library will be a great way of organizing reference information. At any time, when using either this website or the library, you can jump to the other by using the appropriate link in the left sidebar.

Lake Data Online

lakegraph.jpgThe quality of our lakes is very important, and as such, the Rice Creek Watershed District has maintained a monitoring program on many of our lakes for years. Now the data collected by the RCWD and that of the other groups involved with monitoring our lake water quality can be found on the Lakes page our website. Here in addition to water quality data, you can find general statistics on many of our lakes, and useful links from the DNR and PCA. In the near future, look for management plans and other links to appear in these pages.
