District Update: Boundary Change
District Update: Boundary Change!
“On March 10, 2025, the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) approved a petition to change the legal watershed boundary in the southwest portion of the District to better reflect the current hydrologic boundary. The affected boundaries are between the Rice Creek Watershed District and the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD), Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO), Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD), and the Vadnais Lake Area Watershed Management Organization (VLAWMO), encompassing 1,466 parcels totaling approximately 607 acres of land in Ramsey, Hennepin & Anoka counties. Affected cities and towns include Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Lino Lakes, Roseville, Shoreview, St. Anthony, White Bear Lake, and White Bear Township. The petition was accompanied by written statements of concurrence in the petition from the governing bodies of all affected cities, towns, and watershed management organizations having jurisdiction over the territory proposed to be added or transferred.”
